Valerie was born and raised in beautiful San Diego, CA where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from San Diego State University. She then continued on to Loma Linda to receive her SLP-A license. Valerie began her career here at Kara Dodds working with children with a wide variety of conditions and ages. She has worked in both the school and private practice setting. Valerie always knew she wanted to work with children, her nephew is who inspired her to pursue a career in speech. What she loves the most is being able to give back to her community as a bilingual therapist along with being able to witness and share those milestone moments with her clients and their families.

Outside of the clinic, Valerie enjoys going to baseball games, playing video games, going to concerts, spending time with family and go
