Clare W, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Clare grew up in St. Louis, where she graduated from Webster University with her Bachelor’s and graduated from Fontbonne University with her Master’s.
She has always enjoyed figure skating in her spare time, and her first job was as an ice skating coach. It was there that she fell in love with teaching and working with children. She felt drawn to work with the skating students who needed a bit more support to succeed, which led her to major in Special Education for a few years before finding her niche in speech therapy. Other jobs she has had prior to working at KDA include being an applied behavior analysis (ABA) implementer, ESL tutor, and reading tutor. As a speech therapist, she has truly enjoyed seeing the communication transformations that she has been privileged to be a part of. Communication has such a profound impact on quality of life, and she loves nothing more than to see the everyday impact that her work can have on clients’ lives. It is just a bonus that she gets to play with kids every day and help them learn in ways that are fun and exciting!
Beyond working in the clinic and figure skating, Clare enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, working out, playing pickleball, improving her Spanish, reading, and hiking.
