Amy was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. Amy was inspired to become a COTA after working as a massage therapist and direct care provider (in home health) with people with various disabilities in Florida. She became passionate about advocating for and helping others to live the most happy, independent, empowered lives possible and found that Occupational Therapy offered her the opportunity to share her “hands on”, fun playful side, talents, and abilities with people.
Amy moved out west, and Adventist University of Health Sciences, and obtained her COTA/L license. Amy enjoys the daily opportunities she has to share in laughter, bring smiles, create fun ways to learn, grow, and to boost confidence in children.
Outside of the center Amy enjoys taking her dogs hiking and to the dog beach. She enjoys traveling and this year has been to Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Alaska!
