Amanda is a San Diego native. She attended San Diego State University for her bachelor’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences. She took a 2-year break from being a student and taught as a Kindergarten teacher at a private school. After teaching, she attended Loma Linda University for SLPA courses and fieldwork.
Amanda always knew that she wanted to work with children and make a positive impact on their lives. As an undergraduate, she volunteered in programs to help children with communication disorders such as a therapeutic horseback riding program and an after-school reading program. In previous and present experiences, she has a love for building relationships with client families and tries to create a calm but fun environment.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog. Together they enjoy hiking, horseback riding, and exploring the beautiful landscapes around their home in the Ramona hills. Family is very important to her and she enjoys spending time with extended family here in San Diego.
